Dr. Brianna Ryff is a native to Arizona and is excited to be back in the valley! She graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Kinesiology and Biochemistry. Dr. Ryff received her O.D. degree with honors at the Southern California College of Optometry. She completed her residency training at NSU Oklahoma College of Optometry in Cornea and Contact Lens with a secondary emphasis in ocular disease, anterior laser, and optometric surgical procedures. Dr. Ryff joined Desert Eye in 2015 and also teaches at the Midwestern University Eye Institute in Glendale, AZ. She enjoys sharing her passion for contact lenses and primary eye care with eager optometry students.
Patients love working with Dr. Ryff because of her attentive, positive attitude. Although Dr. Ryff fits both glasses and contacts, she particularly enjoys working with specialty contacts for individuals who have high prescriptions, astigmatism, Keratoconus, Pellucid Marginal Degeneration, or eye injuries resulting in light sensitivity. She is very experienced fitting custom soft, prosthetic, bifocal, hybrid, Gas Permeable, and scleral contact lenses. Some of Dr. Ryff’s favorite moments have been fitting patients with contacts and having them see as if for the first time! People who are active or have a young child who already wears glasses often ask Dr. Ryff about Orthokeratology or myopia control.
Dr. Ryff and her husband enjoy spending time with family, traveling, and playing basketball. On the weekends, they like to hike and mountain bike throughout the beautiful Arizona landscape. Due to many food allergies, Dr. Ryff and her family work together to create new gluten-free, allergy-friendly cuisines.
